Buy Reddit Upvotes. The Honest Comparison Against a Done-For-You Campaign.
Published October 1, 2026
Type "buy reddit upvotes" into Google and page one is ten vendors selling the same thing at roughly the same price.
Under six cents a vote. Delivery in minutes. Crypto or card. A dashboard and a support chat.
They aren't lying about the price. They just aren't telling you what happens to the thread in ninety days, or to the account, or to the ranking you were actually trying to buy.
We run a done-for-you Reddit agency, so discount this page accordingly. We'll still tell you the three cases where buying upvotes is the right call - and two of them have nothing to do with marketing.
Start with the numbers the vendors publish.

Key takeaways.
- Buying Reddit upvotes runs $0.01–$0.06 per vote at published rates. You're buying a number, not a reader.
- Vote manipulation is against Reddit's rules and it's the fastest ban trigger on the site. Admins issued 2,613,473 account bans in the first half of 2025.
- Bought votes decay the moment you stop paying. A useful comment keeps getting found for years.
- $3,000 buys roughly 100,000 upvotes at the $0.03 tier, or one month of a campaign that leaves 100+ comments behind.
01 - What buying Reddit upvotes actually is.
Paying a vendor to send votes to a post or comment you already published, from accounts you don't own and never see.
That's the product. You hand over a URL, not a password. The votes arrive from a pool of aged accounts, dripped in slowly so the curve looks human.
You are renting a number.
The published rates, in one place.
Two vendors publish their tiers in full. Here they are, unedited.
- $0.01–$0.06 per upvote across five tiers, $15 to $1,000, at BuyUpvotes.io
- $0.02 per post upvote, $0.04 per comment upvote, $0.20 per custom comment, flat, at BuyUpvotes.net
- $0.005 per vote advertised at UpvoteGG - the cheapest headline on page one
$15
the smallest tier anyone sells
$1,000

$0.02
where the two published vendors more or less land
Where to buy Reddit upvotes is a solved search problem. Ten vendors, one keyword, and the whole decision comes down to price per vote. If the plan is to buy cheap Reddit upvotes in bulk - a Reddit upvotes service selling 1,000 votes for $10 - the market will take the order in under a minute. Finding a seller was never the hard part.
One pricing quirk is worth knowing. Comment votes cost more than post votes. BuyUpvotes.net charges $0.04 to buy Reddit comment upvotes versus $0.02 for post upvotes, because a comment lands inside someone else's thread, under a moderator's eye, next to a real conversation. Even the vendors price that risk higher.
What the vendors promise.
Their claims, not ours.
- Delivery starts in 5–15 minutes, completes in 2–12 hours
- "0% ban rate" and "98% retention"
- Real aged accounts with karma and comment history
- A free top-up if votes drop within 30 days
- No Reddit password needed - only the post URL
One of them also sells aged Reddit accounts outright, from $5 for a 1–2 year account to $98 for a 14-year one (BuyUpvotes pricing).
Read that again. The same vendor sells you the votes and the account you'd use to place them.
What you're actually buying.
- A number on a post. Not a reader.
- A number that decays. Reddit does not freeze vote counts.
- A number attached to your domain, if the post links to you.
The record from a buyer inside the thread is less clean than the sales page. One Redditor paid in crypto and watched votes land in about 15 minutes at roughly $0.05–$0.30 each - above the headline rates, on a small experiment they later deleted (thread).
02 - Bought upvotes vs a done-for-you campaign. Side by side.
One column costs cents. The other costs thousands. Both are on the same page for a reason.
The comparison table.
| Bought upvotes | Done-for-you campaign | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | $0.01–$0.06 per vote, one-off | $3,000 per month, 3-month minimum |
| What you get | Votes on a URL you already posted | 100+ comments, 24–36 posts, subreddit recon, weekly reporting |
| Survival rate | Vendor claims 98% retention, unverified | 90%+ of posts still live at 90 days |
| What happens when it stops | The counter stops moving, then decays | The comments keep ranking and keep being found |
| What it compounds into | Nothing. There is no asset. | 5.1M+ organic post views, 97% upvote rate, threads that outlive the invoice |
The cost, over three months.
Put the two routes on one number and the gap stops being rhetorical.
$90
3 months of 1,000 upvotes a month, at $0.03
$9,000
3 months of a done-for-you campaign
100x
the price difference between the two
That's a 100x gap. Pretending it isn't there would make the rest of this page useless.
So here's what the other 99% actually buys: a comment history a moderator can read, placement in threads that already rank, ten contributions that help for every one that names you, and a weekly report showing which threads produced signups. Slower, four figures a month, and still there in month six.
The compounding column.
Bought votes produce one outcome: a higher number for a while.
A campaign produces a second outcome: an asset.
0
assets created by a vote purchase
100+
comments left in threads you don't own
12+
months a ranked thread keeps sending you traffic
There's no third option where votes compound. Reddit's voting is a snapshot, and a snapshot you can't take again without paying again.
03 - Why bought votes get threads removed and accounts flagged.
Three mechanisms. None of them are subtle, and none of them are negotiable.
Reddit's own rules say no.
Vote manipulation is prohibited "whether done manually, programmatically, or otherwise." That covers paid voting services, multiple accounts to alter vote counts, soliciting upvotes, and coordinated group votes. Sanctions escalate, up to a permanent ban (Reddit Help).
This is sitewide policy, not a subreddit preference (Reddit Content Policy).
2,613,473
accounts banned by admins, January–June 2025
0.6%
of admin content removals were "content manipulation"
1
the number of times you get to lose your real account
The ban doesn't stay where you put it, either. Ban evasion covers the alt accounts you made to spread the risk, and a sitewide ban on your real account is a genuine outcome (Reddit Help).
Mods and filters read velocity.
A post with four upvotes in ten minutes doesn't look human. It looks like forty accounts and one instruction.
Vendors know this. That's why they drip-feed instead of dumping. Drip-feed fixes the shape, not the tell: a brand-new post with a suspiciously even climb, arriving while the comment section sits silent, reads as exactly one thing to a moderator who has seen it two hundred times.
And a moderator doesn't have to prove anything. They can remove the post and get on with their day. That's most of the appeal of being a moderator.
The r/TheoryOfReddit account.
The Redditor who tested this paid in crypto, saw the votes arrive in about 15 minutes, and priced them at $0.05–$0.30 each - well above the published tiers. They deleted the experiment and closed the post by stating plainly that buying upvotes is vote manipulation and against Reddit's rules (thread).
The comments didn't argue about ethics. They argued about what the votes did to the post's visibility, and whether what followed was a sitewide shadowban or just a filter doing its job. The thread never settles it - and that ambiguity is the point.
You can buy the votes. You cannot buy back the account, or the thread, or the trust of a moderator who now recognises your domain.
04 - When buying upvotes is the right call. And when it isn't.
This is the section most agencies turn into a strawman. We won't.
Three times it's justified.
- You're testing delivery, not marketing. You want to know whether a vendor is real before you ever depend on one. $15 settles it.
- You're nudging a post that already works. Your thread has real replies and a vote count stuck at two. A small top-up clears the sub's visibility threshold and the content does the rest. The content is real. The votes are a crutch.
- You're auditing a competitor. You suspect a rival is buying at volume and you want to see what bought votes look like at their scale. That's research spend, not marketing spend.
All three are small, time-boxed, and measured in tens of dollars. None of them are a channel.
Three times it's burning money.
- You're treating it as the growth plan. Votes decay, and there is no asset at the end of the spend.
- You're buying votes on a comment that links to your site. The comment comes down, and the removal is now attached to your domain.
- You're buying at volume on an account you care about. The ban lands on the account you post from every other day.
Notice what isn't on either list: any claim that buying upvotes is always stupid. It isn't. It's just the cheapest available input in a game where the input was never the constraint.
$15

05 - What the same money buys instead.
A done-for-you Reddit campaign. Published price. Named deliverables. No call required to hear the number.
$3,000
per month
100+
comments per engagement
24–36
posts per engagement
3 months

The deliverables.
- 100+ handwritten comments, placed in the subreddits that own your buying conversations
- 24–36 posts, formatted to each community's own rules
- Subreddit and moderator reconnaissance before the first word goes up
- Weekly reporting on views, upvotes, survival and mentions
- One named strategist, not a rotating account team
Nine of ten contributions help and mention nothing. The tenth names the product, usually in reply to someone who asked directly. That ratio is why the accounts are still alive in month four - and it's the exact opposite of the signal a vote purchase leaves behind.
What the numbers look like.
5.1M+
organic post views
97%
upvote rate
90%+
post survival rate
6 years
of hands-on Reddit experience
For contrast: the vendors selling at $0.01–$0.06 advertise 98% retention and a 0% ban rate. Ask any of them for a third-party version of that number. Ours comes from the mod log, and we'll show it on a call.
The newsletter case.
One brand. Four months. No ad spend.
5,000
newsletter signups in 4 months
$0
ad spend
3,000
members in the subreddit we built with them
$45,000
lifetime value created
$10,000

4.5x
return
That same $10,000 buys roughly 333,000 upvotes at $0.03 - spent on posts you had to write anyway, for a brand with no comment history to show at the end of it.
06 - FAQ.
What is buying Reddit upvotes?
Paying a vendor to send votes to your post or comment from accounts you don't control. The published market rate is $0.01–$0.06 per upvote, with delivery starting in 5–15 minutes. It falls under vote manipulation in Reddit's rules, and it's the fastest route to a sitewide ban.
What's the best place to buy Reddit upvotes?
Whichever vendor publishes a price, a retention figure and a refund policy you can read without contacting sales. Two do that - BuyUpvotes.io and BuyUpvotes.net. Treat any "best site to buy Reddit upvotes" listicle as an ad until it shows you a third-party retention number, because most of them are affiliate pages for the vendor in slot one.
How much does it cost to buy 1000 Reddit upvotes?
At $0.02, 1,000 upvotes cost $20. At $0.03, $30. At $0.01, $10. That's the entire pricing conversation. A $0.005 headline vendor will sell you 1,000 votes for $5 - the cheapest input on the internet, and the fastest-decaying one.
Can I pay for Reddit upvotes with PayPal or a card?
Sometimes. BuyUpvotes.io takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto. BuyUpvotes.net is crypto-only through NOWPayments. Crypto is the vendors' preference because it leaves no bank record - which tells you what kind of chargeback risk they've priced in.
Do bought upvotes actually work?
For minutes to hours, occasionally. For a comment that ranks and keeps getting found, no. Votes move a post up a feed. They don't put a useful comment inside a three-year-old thread that Google ranks first - which is where your buyer already is.
What should I do instead of buying Reddit upvotes?
Buy the input that compounds. A comment that helps, from an account with a history, inside a thread that already ranks. Whether you write it yourself or hire someone to place it, the unit of work is identical - and unlike a vote, it's still there in month six.

Book a Call, or run your own numbers.
Two ways to finish this page.
Book a Call if you want the 100+ comments, the aged accounts and the weekly reporting handled for you, at $3,000/month.
Run your own numbers if you'd rather model the return before you spend anything. Same benchmarks, same case study, no call needed.
Buying upvotes is the cheapest way to move a number. It is the most expensive way to build an asset. Those are two different purchases, and only one of them is still working next quarter.
